It is the translation made by a ” Certified Sworn Translator “, which is usually delivered as a scanned document * .pdf and also as physical documents. This is characterized by being made in a regulated format that includes: (i) embossed seal of the translator, (ii) security straps and seals, (iii) seal and signature of the responsible translator, on each sheet, indicating their registration number, and (iv) the translator’s statement indicating that the translation is “a faithful and correct version” and the date and place of completion of said translation.
This translation can only be made on original physical documents that are apostilled and / or have the relevant legalizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this sense, Article 24 Supreme Decree No. 126-2003-RE states: “In the case of public documents issued abroad, to obtain legal effects in Peru or abroad, Public Sworn Translators must demand, under responsibility, that these documents be duly legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.
This type of translation has the highest price since in addition to the costs of translation, it requires additional expenses related to legalization, formats, transportation and management. The delivery time is also a bit slower since it requires the completion of procedures and transportation of the originals (delivery services).
